Amnesia is the story of a dancer, told almost entirely through her dancing as she fights with her light and the darkness inside, to see if she will succeed as a dancer; to put her passion and pain as the impetus for her art.
Rembrandt lighting was used throughout the film, in both the interior and exterior shots. For the exterior shots, natural lighting was used and it was filmed during the early morning in the late afternoon, just before sunset. For the interior shots, the only lighting came from straights that were around the subject or from a projector.
A projector was used to overlap images of storms, ink merging with water, clouds and sunsets in order to create a turbulent and dreamlike state that reflected the inner turmoil of the subject.

This short was showcased at the start of the Art Institute’s show in order to intro Duce the three fashion students and the work they were presenting.
We had a turnaround of one week for this project to be handed in for New York Fashion Week. The three students were filmed in the same day in one of the work rooms belonging to the fashion department. While part of the focus was on the students, the majority of the focus was meant to be on the work presented by the students, the actual designs and the conceptualization process that led to their final products.
