Voiceless
Voiceless is an experiment in visual poetry, to personify two sonnets by Shakespeare, Sonnets 133 and 114. The story was that of two actors in a relationship on the verge of breaking, their names being Hamlet and Ophelia.
There is no dialogue in the film, only voice overs of the actors reciting the sonnets. To adjust the sonnets for the short film, we broke them down line by line, each line from one sonnet a line of dialogue. We treated the sonnets as if they were speaking to each other, weaving them together to create a story of loving and wanting to be loved in return, even if it was painful and almost hopeless.
This is a love story with an open ending. Either the two actors were able to reconcile their relationship or it falls apart after the last show on stage.
